Peter Colis co-founded Ethos to make life insurance more accessible and affordable for everyone. He has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Directors since July 2016. Prior to Ethos, Peter was Chief Executive Officer of Ovid Corp., an insurance auction platform that was acquired in 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Lingke Wang is Co-Founder and President of Ethos, where he oversees the technology and insurance teams. Prior to Ethos, Lingke co-founded Ovid Corp. with Peter Colis, an insurance auction platform acquired in 2019. He began his career at Morgan Stanley. Lingke holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics–Economics and Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Chris Capozzi is Chief Financial Officer at Ethos, where he leads the company’s Finance, Legal, and Human Resources functions. He joined Ethos in April 2025. Prior to Ethos, Chris served in several executive leadership positions, including Partner and CFO at Quiet Capital, COO and CFO at Achieve, and Chief Risk Officer at General Electric. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.

Vipul Sharma has served as Chief Technology Officer at Ethos since July 2021, after previously serving as Vice President of Engineering. Prior to Ethos, he founded Simppler, an employee referral platform that was later acquired. He also led engineering teams at Indeed.com and Eventbrite. Vipul holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering Roorkee and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston.

Porter Nolan is General Counsel at Ethos, leading the company’s Legal and Compliance teams. Prior to Ethos, he worked on the corporate legal team at Amazon and served as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corps. Porter holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia, as well as Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Tulane University.

Prassath Leelakrishnan is Chief Growth Officer at Ethos, where he leads Ethos’s Direct-to-Consumer business. His leadership has resulted in breakthrough consumer experiences and significant advances in marketing technology. Prior to Ethos, Prassath built and scaled multiple advertising and consumer product lines at Meta and Twitch. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from PSG College of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Troy Thompson is the Chief Insurance Officer at Ethos, where he leads a team developing tailored, innovative, and profitable insurance solutions. Under his leadership, Ethos has expanded its product range, increased sales volume, and advanced its underwriting processes. Previously, Troy was Chief Actuary at Legal & General America, where he spearheaded innovation in product development, valuation, and underwriting. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Alex Rouse manages the partnerships business at Ethos, where he is focused on transforming the traditionally cumbersome process of buying and selling life insurance into a modern, digital experience. Alex brings experience building products for consumers, businesses and developers from world-class brands including Upstart, Amazon and Nationwide. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management.
